Meet Your Maker: Lorna of Peargirl Creations

Lorna will be at our Dec. 5th show at Cozmic Pizza. Come by, meet your makers and make a free craft to take home or share!

Here's what Lorna has to say about her business:

My name is Lorna Pearman and my business name is Peargirl Creations. I began writing patterns for knitters in 2008 and I also sell my knitted items. I sell the patterns thru my blog and also on Ravelry.  I began my macro photography this summer when I finally was able to afford the macro lens that I had my eye on for a couple of years. Because of my love for gardening, I have focused my photography on my garden and the creatures within. I make archival photo mounted cards with my 4x6" photos that I print myself. This summer I worked my first craft venue selling my cards, knitting, patterns and handmade soap. I am currently working on a website for the photography, and an Etsy shop for my knitted items and possibly the soap and photography. Right now I am taking it one step at a time.

When not busy with all of these, I also play in a band with my husband Dennis...we are The Pears and can be found on Myspace. I play keyboards and sing, and write a lot of our music.
I actually quit my job of almost 6 years a month or so ago, and now I have the time to really focus on all of these endeavors. I hope to get the other websites up and running soon. In the winter months my focus will be on pattern writing, while in the spring and summer I am looking forward to the photography.
I am looking forward to this years MYM, thanks for having me.
