Meet Your Maker: Kate of The Wandering Wolf
Kate will be at our show on Dec. 5th selling her beautiful yarns, hats, and more. Come by Cozmic Pizza from 1-5pm and say hi.

Here's what Kate has to say:
My name is Kate Rivera and my shop is The Wandering Wolf. I've been spinning yarn for a little over two and a half years, having gotten started after watching spinners at local events here in Oregon. This is such a fiber friendly community! Guess it has something to do with all these wonderful sheep we have around here. I started learning how to spin on a spinning wheel while I was recovering from a broken leg, if you can believe it! That didn't stop me, though, I couldn't get enough of all the gorgeous fibers and watching them become yarn. I spin almost daily on an antique St. Hyacinthe wheel.

Most of what I spin is wool from different types of sheep. My favorites are Blue Faced Leicester and Polwarth, and I have an incredible weakness for fibers dyed in rich, varied colors.
I've also recently started adding crocheted cloche-style hats to the shop, as well as some beaded stitch markers.

You'll often find posts about my current crafty projects at my blog, Escaping Suburbia, and I love comments. I'd *especially* love to see photos of finished items that used my yarn! It's so exciting to me that what I make goes on to become a part of someone else's handmade creations.
I'm really looking forward to the December Meet Your Maker event... see you there!

P.S. Happy Birthday, Kate!
